Peter McNamara

Peter McNamara first started mixing records, not for love or interest – but by necessity. “In 1986, I was working behind the bar at the Laird Hotel and one night, one of the DJ’s didn’t show up...”

Spending hours labouring over the decks after closing time, Peter eventually landed his first residency – at the Laird Hotel! Soon after, word got around and he was invited to play his first warehouse party – The ALSO Foundations’ New Years Eve 1989.

Peter soon expanded his residencies to include some of Melbourne’s finest and most respected underground clubs; Monkey, Tasty & Freakazoid. This also included major parties like Sleaze Ball, Mardi Gras, Red raw, Two Tribes, and Summadayze.

Currently Peter’s residences include, The Social, Candy Bar, and Love Machine.

Peter has long been recognised as one of Australia’s finest – he has twice been voted “God of the Dancefloor” at the Diva Awards, a number of Pride Awards hidden amongst his record crates and a selection of critically acclaimed CD’s on his resume including Glad to be Gay, SIN (ALSO Foundation), Monkey – Call of the Wild, Monkey – Jungle Juice .

Mike Kelly

Originally from Sydney (Australia); currently residing in
Cologne (Germany), this turntable musician works each record & crowd to the most. Mike thoughtfully layers sounds & enhances energy with superb technicality, whilst constantly connecting with and elevating the ambience. The result, each performance is a unique audio experience... a collective creation.

Inspired by a diverse range of DJs (Mark Farina, Ian Pooley, Sander Kleinenberg, John Digweed) and producers (Basement Jaxx, Daft Punk, The Cure, Hybrid, Force Mass Motion), Mike couples his passions - stunning music, and mixing - to create an audio world filled with style, substance and a dash of spunk.

Musically, expect sexy driving bass lines & strong drums,
accompanied by a rich palette of melodic styles. Mike's Djing displays a healthy respect for diversity, and offers both light AND shade.

Expect propelling journeys through progressive, tribal, house, tech, electro and breaks, either in niche or mashed-up arrangements.

Internationally, Mike began his adventures in 2001, performing in London at The End and Heaven, then in Berlin for GMF. In 2005 he relocated to Germany and has been selected as resident DJ for Greenkomm (Cologne), Naughty (Brussels), Under Construction (Frankfurt), Mecx (Paris), Furball (Amsterdam). Frisky

In 1996 a young Queensland DJ with a box of Top forty hits and years of mobile and Cruise Ship DJ work behind him, left home in search of greener pastures. The epitome of a journeyman, Craig Frith took on his nickname Frisky as a moniker and ended up in Sydney , discovering clubs, Djs and music he never dreamed existed. He immersed himself in the scene and although returning briefly to Queensland before doing a stint playing in a pub in Ballarat, he eventually settled in Melbourne in 1999. His first impressions were entirely positive, Moving to Melbourne to work alongside the best Djs in the Country has not only been his biggest challenge - it has been his greatest reward.

Self taught, Frisky commenced his career sixteen years ago and has had the pleasure of playing every major club along the East Coast from Port Douglas to Melbourne . He has quite a repertoire which can stretch from deep to progressive but concentrates on House with an edge. ”Whether it be vocal, dirty, deep, rolling, electro or breaky, if you can feel it in your belly and it creates a warm sensation I'll play it”.

Bar 44, The Evelyn, Billboards, Seven, Salt, Candy Bar, Mink, QBar, The Market, Viper Room. Megabar, Room, Spy Lounge, Blupols, Evolution, The Palace, Purr, Magnitude, Beyond, Monkey, Oosh, Cheeky, Snap Crackle, The Social, Love Machine, The Terminus, Kiss my Grass, The Peel, Two Floors Up and Altitude are to name some of the events and venues where Frisky has graced the Decks in Melbourne. He also does a weekly show on Kiss Fm called Drumride with his partner in crime and dear friend Luke Bowditch. He has played alongside International acts which include Carl Cox, Deep Dish, Hernan Cattaneo, Sasha, and The Chemical Brothers.

Phill Mezza

Phill’s placement in the world of DJ’ing was no accident, but more so a lifelong passion, a goal and the result of pure determination. Phill’s love for music expands from disco thru to contemporary house; mashing the old with the new, the camp with the quirky; sometimes gospel, sometimes tribal but always with a funky edge. With Phill, it’s about GOOD music, not just the style of music that gets you movin’ and groovin’ your ass on the dance floor.

During the week, Phill operates www.mezabel.com – renowned globally for its service, dedication and wide range of new and hard to find house, funk, disco and electro vinyl for Dj’s and collectors.

To celebrate “20 years of mixing madness” in 2007 isn’t a surprise: His passion and dedication to music reflects during his performances and productions every time he graces the decks or belts out a club smash.

Phill threw himself in the deep end initially with his curious “What Does This Button Do?” approach to mixing and editing back in the day. The naughties (00’s)
arrived and Phill pursued his interest in other Australian cities, DJ’ing at Sleaze Ball in Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and later at Lismore’s Tropical Fruits party.

Phill spent several years in Brisbane, establishing www.mezabel.com before returning to Melbourne in 2005.

These days you tend to find Phill spinning tunes for boutique crowds and unique parties – delivering “something special he loves for special occasions.” THE man behind Daylesford’s infamous Chill-out dance party since 2000 is back: As a monthly resident at “RITUAL” (Phoenix - Sydney), and now a feature at 4x4’s monthly gathering.

George Roussos

George started his DJ adventures from an early age.
The 78 rpm turntable and reel to reel in his bedroom
as a boy was the start of his passion.

Buying 12 inch singles in the dawn of disco with his pocket money this boy knew he where he was heading. During School when House music was born, he saved up money with a weekend job to get his first decks and a mixer with an already established record collection to get him going.

George ended up DJing parties which then lead to him DJ'ing under aged in Sydney clubs. Of course he lied about his age. From the Rave scene to the Clubs, Oxford St, Cruise Ships and the Greek Islands, George was heard to be playing his hard and Dub infused sounds bringing the sounds of the city to the burbs and back again. There aren't many clubs in Sydney that he left untouched with his infectious sounds.

Today he is based in Perth and commutes for his musical adventures, Resident DJ of Connections Nightclub (Perth), Harbour City Bears (Sydney), and
with couple of more surprises to come ,he is up there
playing his Dirty Dub inspired Electro, Tech, Tribal, Progressive and Old School House.

Celebrating 20 years performing in his musical adventure,George's philosophy in life is....

"Its all about the Music"
